here to enter The truth about the Venetian islands ... there were real islands there, but the terrain was too rocky to build houses on. The steep land was covered with tropical forests, and the water along the sandy beaches were filled with small fish. Though weather was sometimes bad, but usually pleasant all the same. The multiple pools of freshwater among the foliage on the islands were filled with prey for the interesting cats who lived on the islands, countless moons before the humans ever created the artificial islands we know as Venice.
Ever since any cat can remember, LagoonClan has lived on the multiple islands in the Lagoon of Venice. They call the territory Venitia The cats live happily, swimming from island to island to find food, returned to the largest one to sleep in the LagoonClan camp. They communicate with StarClan and follow the Warrior Code, just like any other Clan does. They are occasionally bothered by rogues, but they often find it hard to adapt to the island life, and leave for the mainland once more. They Twolegs from the mainland have never bothered them ... until now.
Suddenly, the Twolegs have been coming across the lagoon onto the largest and second largest islands, surveying the land for hours on end. They speak of buildings, and development. Always, they refer to this new horror as Venice. As the construction starts, the cats realize that they can't stop the Twolegs from tearing apart their land. They have a few choices; they can flee to the mainland, and travel far to find a safer home there. They can stay and become a Clan living among the city streets of Venice. Either way, their lives will be altered forever.
