"That human knows too much"
"Aro said to wait. The Cullens promised."
"They are still vampires Caius, they may go back on their word."
The date of the wedding was set. The Cullen and Swan family were in the mist of preparations for the wedding. Excitement was travelling around forks as news spread of Edward Cullen and Isabella Swan's pending nuptials. People were congratulating Charlie everywhere he turned, and after thinking about it, Charlie had come round to the idea. No matter how much he had disliked Edward in the past, he knew his daughter was safe in his company. There was just something about the Cullen family that seemed to calm him, something he couldn't quite place a finger on.
Bella was nervous. In a couple of days her life was going to change forever. No longer would she be a single teenager rebelling against the world. No, she would be a wife and a Vampire and she knew which one scared her the most. She couldn't see herself settling down at only eighteen. She had never thought she would be that girl. Having a husband... even an immortal husband, scared her silly, but it was the only way, the only way to give her family and friends the proper goodbye. The goodbye they deserved. She was ready.
Julian was hungry. His eyes glistened as he watched the humans exiting the small community centre in the middle of Forks. Human blood was calling out to him, but he was going to have to be careful. The hundred and ten year old vampire knew the rules and didn't want to upset the Volturi. He jumped down and met a small brunette girl, with long hair down to the waist. She smelt delicious. "What's your name?" He smiled before leading her away to a dark alley.
Edward was happy. For the first time since becoming a vampire he was smiling most days and once Alice even noticed him humming. When had her brother ever expressed any kind of joy before? Just seeing him like this made Alice even more determined to give him the perfect wedding. If anyone deserved it, it was her brother and Bella. She closed her eyes and checked the future. Checking to make sure that it wasn't raining on the wedding day. That nothing was going to happen, nobody's decisions had changed that would affect the perfect day. Then she saw it. The Volturi were restless. They were coming for a check-up. This was not good news.
Carlisle wrinkled his brow. This news was not good. Just when his family were all happy and excited something like this had to happen. Something, which could ruin all he had worked for. The new vampire in town made this difficult too. They had no choice but to postpone the wedding until the problem was sorted, and in turn Bella's turning. Something Carlisle was sure would not please the Volturi. And if they found Bella human there is no question what they would do and once she was dead, a closer eye would be kept on the Cullens to make sure nothing like this happened again.
And then of course there were the werewolves. The sooner they turned Bella, the sooner they would consider the treaty null and void and declare war on the Cullen family. However for now they just wasted their rage with the golden eyes with the new vamp whom they had no deal with. Jacob was particularly determined to get him. He was becoming more and more bitter and hated all vampires stronger than ever before. Bella Swan had broken his heart and he was going to get vengeance, even if it was just a random Vampire who made the mistake of crossing his path.
So with the wedding postponed, the Volturi on the way and a new vampire raging havoc in forks. Life is far from perfect in the small town of forks. I suppose in a case like this all you can do is take a LEAP OF FAITH[/blockquote]
