General Rules
-- I've seen quite a bit of, 'I posted on your story, so you post on mine' going on, and I don't think this is a good thing. Please refrain from this activity, thanks!
-- Respect all member's and staff
-- No profanity, racist or sexual content. Everything will be monitored, keep it PG-13 and under.
-- Under no conditions what so ever will we tolerate copyright infringement, or in smaller words taking credit for other people's work. It will get you an immediate ban and possibly a deletion from the site.
-- When writing, please make sure you have proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, ect. its not FuN tyrnig to red ur righting lik dis. Use Spell Check if needed! =3 Thank you.
-- No chat speak in the boards please, in the Cbox it's fine.
-- Keep all signatures and other images at a reasonable size otherwise the forum will stretch.
-- Do not double post unless you have reason to do so.
-- For the Researching board: We aren't going to do your homework for you, though we may be able to help.
-- Please post at least two complete sentences. Posting 'Lol' or 'Good Point' is not acceptable. Your post will be deleted if it does not offer anything to gain. =3
Share Your Work -- Critique
-- If you do not want your work to be critiqued when you post it under this category, please say so in your first post.
--When critiquing, please make sure it is constructive, not harsh. Also, please do not use numbers; we are critiquing not rating.
Example 1:
Awesome Story! 7/10
Bad Critique: Used numbers and wasn't specific.
Example 2:
Your story was very enjoyable, I loved the detail you put in it, as well as how realistic and developed your characters seemed. Though I did see some spelling errors and run-on sentences, I would revise this a bit.
Good Critique: Detailed, wasn't a put down.
Listed critique is also acceptable, just remember if you can't give a good review don't review at all.
-- Be polite, no flaming will be tolerated.
-- Keep in mind who and what you are reviewing, if it's a 13 year-old's first story don't shoot it down, you may crush there hopes. You were on the same level as they were at some point.
-- Be honest, don't say you like something if you don't. But don't be brutal.
Debate
-- Keep it civil, keep the debates in the debate board
-- Don't hate a person just because of their views, everyone's entitled to their own opinions.
-- If you post in a thread please stay active in it. No one appreciates a hit-and-run.
-- If you have an idea, or need one, for a debate go to the Suggestion thread.
-- Don't claim false facts.
-- Back up your evidence: Post a link to the article/video/story/ect, list your source (newspaper, book, ect.)
