Database Question

When we post something are we supposed to notify someone, or do we just sit back and let others update the list? 'Cause I've posted a few things and I don't think any of them have ended up on the database. :/ It's not that I'm impatient or anything, I just feel funny about my writing not being on the list and then not asking about it. If I'm supposed to wait for someone to update the list, then I'm not going to freak out or anything. I know you guys are busy. ;]

Also, I keep forgetting where the database is kept too. XD I feel like a dork for asking, but...where is it normally kept? Nevermind...I found it on my own. Dx Ugh. It wasn't even that hard to find. XDDD

Oh, and one last question. :D I was wondering if there was a place to make a thread to list all of your writing that you have posted on the site for others to look at in case you want to show off your work or someone wants to critique something. Kind of like character logs, but for your written work. I noticed the showcase, but I'm guessing that's for MotM? Eh. Just wondering. c:

On the topic of the database, I do think that it would be much easier if you listed the different sections [fanfiction, poetry, snippets, etc.] in separate posts. It's all piled into one post right now and it's very difficult to sort through it. I've added several pieces to it and I find it very difficult to search through the large thread. x.x;

Yeah. Maybe a database thread under each board? Like a snippets database under the snippets board, a poetry database under the poetry board, etc. It sounds like a lot of work though. :O

Actually, I'm unsure. I'm the type who sticks to the Snippet section so it wouldn't bother me either way, but for those who critique all sorts of things [or the Database Updaters], it might be a bit troublesome to constantly have to search through the boards to find the right threads when a single thread would do the trick. o.O; I mean, I find it fairly easy right now-- I just open two tabs on FireFox and I can transfer the information and links without a problem. It's up to the Database Updaters, I'd say.
