mama, we're all gonna die...
Gilead was a normal city, situated in Washington on the Canadian border. Rolling hills and hundreds of acres of forests surrounded the city, making it seem almost impervious to any harmful thing. People came from all around to live here, to see the natural beauty and to take in the rich culture. The city was prospering until two years ago...[/center]
Before, there had been reports of a mysterious disease infecting the citizens of a nearby town. No one in Gilead really paid attention to it until that same disease starting infecting the city. When people first got infected, most thought of it as a common migraine, but as the number of infections grew, so did the disease. From those migraines came hallucinations, from the hallucinations came schizophrenia. The schizophrenia would confuse the infected and made them prone to violent outbursts. Violence exploded in the city when the infected reached this third stage. Rape, burglary, and homicides reached an all time high. City officials were at a loss. What were they suppose to do? The disease was unlike any anyone had ever seen before.
The violence came to a screeching halt as the infected reached the third stage. The infected would experience the most intense migraine they had ever felt, and then they'd simply die. Autopsies on these people found that their brain started bleeding, as well as other vital organs.
That was two years ago. Gilead was once a prosperous city with a population in the thirty thousands, but now the population is in the mere hundreds. Every day people are getting infected, tearing up this city through their new found rage. This sickness has spread to Canada and the rest of the United States, throwing the world into an era of chaos. The surviving people are sent to a special quarantine facility in Gilead, where they are never to leave. People today live in fear as the sickness expands to other places at an alarming rate.
The question is...
Do you have the will to survive, or will you fall victim to this crippling disease?
